Laryea Kingston set for Vitesse challenge

Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston could be handed a lifeline by Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem after training with the club on Wednesday morning.

Kingston has been searching for for a new club after he parted ways with Scottish side Heart of Midlothian in May.

Vitesse want to fortify their midfield to move out of relegation zone in the four-week old Eredivisie.

The 30-year-old told the club's website he can recapture his form early to aid their League campaign.

"I have not played three months and it's nice that I can train again. The training was tough, I like to do," Kingston said in an interview.

"My position in the field can vary. I'm pretty versatile, and can play multi-position from the feet, back and both also in midfield."

Kingston also believes a good showcase for the GelreDome club will him a return to the Ghana national team after being axed from the pre-World Cup squad.

Laryea Kingston is a 29-year-old Ghanaian striker more than forty international matches to his credit for the Ghanaian national team. Kingston is a free transfer from the Scottish Heart of Midlothian. For his time he played in Scotland including in Israel and Russia. Ted van Leeuwen: "In Kingston we have a player with routine in the house. It is a "utility player", meaning that it can be deployed in multiple positions. He can play in midfield, striker or striker as a judge. " I personally copied and pasted this from the Vitesse Arnhem website. He is already a player there.i dont like the wording 'could be handed a lifeline by the dutch side Vitesse Arnhem after training with the club on Wednesday morning'.The guy has already been handed the lifeline. He is now officially a player there. Stop this mix ups. please

Jerro, from the article u have pasted there is nothing stating or meaning Laryea is a player at Vitesse so Ghanasoccernet is right. We all wish him well but they also have to report the right thing and not infer meanings from statements.Read your cut and paste story well.

Laryea, learn to seek your personal interest 1st before honoring Ghana calls. Remember -- u struggled 2 get 2 Vitesse all by yourself, so never put your head online for Ghana again--- once bitten, twice shy; i wish u all d best~!

Tonic and Jerro are right.Laryea is a vitesse player. You can confirm this on www.goal.com as at yesterday or so.He's been registered for the season together with about 5 other players. I wish him all the best.He is so passionate about the game, though his strength is reducing by the day.I have no doubt about his abilities and his mental strength. He should rather concentrate and make a position his own before dreaming about the stars recall. He has paid his due to the country and has shown his willingness to 'die' for GH.I believe he will be a better player in central midfield than on the wings because of his diminishing speed in that area.I personally enjoyed his play towards the end of last season at Hearts. That central midfield playmaking role reminded me of his early days at Hearts of Oak.He's still got the stuffs but needs to be discipline to get back.God bless GH
