Laryea Kingston vows to power Hearts to league title

Midfielder Laryea Kingston is delighted with his performance on his return to  Premier League challengers Hearts of Oak.

The 31-year-old played an influential role in the side's 1-0 win at Heart of Lions in their second round opener.

He directed affairs from the field with some delectable performance that is likely to catch the eye of Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic.

He insists his performance is far from over and will help the club to topple sworn-rivals Asante Kotoko.

''I keep on saying that the team will go places in this second round and that’s what we’ve started with at Lion,'' the former Heart of Midlothian ace said.

''The idea is to keep tabs on Kotoko and ensure we don't give them a breathing space. We hope they slip and then we can take advantage.

''I am very much available for a return to the Black Stars if the coach needs me. You haven’t seen anything yet from me and I believe with the support of my colleagues, we can win the title for our supporters.''

Hearts will next tackle strugglers Bechem United at home on 26 February.
