Lazio coach pleased with comeback against Bologna

Lazio coach Stefano Pioli says his side only passed half the test against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The Biancocelesti fought back from 2-0 down to rescue a point and Pioli has now urged his side show the same endeavour over the course of 90 minutes.

“Only half the test was passed today, we only played well in the second half,” Pioli told Premium Sports after the game.

“The team showed some real character by coming back but looking ahead we have to play for the full 90 minutes in the same way we did in the second half.”

Pioli was also quizzed on the withdrawal of Antonio Candreva, who scored Lazio’s first, after the Aquile had levelled through Senad Lulic.

“I had to take him off to help the team,” Pioli added.

“It was a decision mad bearing in mind the changes already made by Donadoni and Bologna.”

The Lazio coach also commented on the future of Felipe Anderson, who has been linked with a move away from the capital this month.

“I do not know if Felipe Anderson will leave,” Pioli said.

“I only know that he works very hard and is an important player for us.”

The result leaves Lazio in 9th place with 28 points from 20 Serie A games.
