Lazio consider move for Galatasaray star

Lazio are reportedly eyeing a move for Galatasaray attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Inbound Biancocelesti coach Cesare Prandelli is keen on reuniting with the 31-year-old, after having worked together briefly at the Turkish club in 2014.

As per the Daily Express, the former Italy boss is looking to add Sneijder’s experience to the changing room, with Lucas Biglia likely to be moving on from the Aquile.

Sneijder’s agent Soren Lerby has negotiated a €7.4million release clause to help him seal a move away from Turkey.

The player himself may be open to a new journey after the Lions were stripped of European football next season for breaching Financial Fair Play rules but wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block, as the former Inter man’s salary currently stands at €4.4 million per season.

The Dutch star made 33 appearances for Gala this season, scoring five goals and adding seven assists.
