League's leading scorer Emmanuel Baffour ready for 2012 Nations Cup finals

Ghana Premier League leading scorer Emmanuel Baffour says being named in the Black Stars final 2012 Nations Cup squad will be a consolation.

The New Edubiase ace grabbed a brace on Sunday in their 2-1 home win over Aduana Stars to register his 11th league goal in 11 matches.

The purple patch of form comes days before Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic discloses his 23-man squad to play in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.

The Black Stars lack prolific goal poachers and the emergence of the 22-year-old should be a boost for the Serbian trainer.

"I hope my name appears on the list because this will be a dream come true," Baffour told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I was not really thinking about the Black Stars when the league started but my form is speaking for me.

"If it is God's wish then it will come to pass."

Ghana last won the Africa Cup of Nations at the 1982 finals which was hosted by Libya.
