Ghana defender Lee Addy hogged the headlines in Serbia after he kept a clean sheet as a goalkeeper on Wednesday night in a Cup match.

Red Star engaged Serbian second division side Banat in the 1/8 of the Serbian Cup and won 1-0 courtesy a 96th minute penalty by Brazilian striker Evandro.

Goalkeeper Milos Versic was red carded in the 74th minute and having exhausted their substitution; the centre-back opted to keep the post for 22 minutes and was lucky to be on the winning side.

Addy made a couple of decent saves to keep the Banat attack at bay and became the hero of the day.

He was mobbed by his team-mates after the fiercely contested cup match.

Former Hearts of Oak talisman Emmanuel Osei Kuffour kept the post for Ghana in 2001 during a World Cup qualifier in Lagos.
