The Assembly of the Lega Serie A took place today with the participation of all 20 clubs via video link. The clubs unanimously assigned the international audiovisual rights for the US territory: "We are very satisfied to have assigned the audiovisual rights for the Serie A and the Coppa Italia, for the three-year period 21/24, to a major like CBS Broadcasting - said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo -. In a strategic area like the United States of America we have increased the value of our rights by over 30% with a major partner like CBS. Today is not a point of arrival, but rather the beginning of a process of investment in human resources and editorial content to support the continued growth of Serie A throughout North America. This result is the product of the work of the last 18 months and of the growing number of American owners who have decided to invest in our teams".
Regarding the television rights for the Italian territory for the three-year period 2021-2024, the vote did not lead to the assignment of any package, so the issue will be discussed again at the Assembly on March 26.
