Heavily linked to an Italian move a few weeks ago, with Fiorentina and Torino reportedly offered his rights upon, Algerian international striker Islam Slimani (32) ended up, against all odds, staying put at Leicester City. Addressed with former AS Monaco and Sporting Lisbon hitman having been ruled out Europa League list, Foxes boss, Brendan Rodgers, explained: "We had to hand the Europa League players' list over to UEFA much before having to fill out Premier League one. Unfortunately, the former didn't include Slimani, since we were sure he'd have been signed away".
