Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew has set a target to finish the season in 18th place, aiming to compensate fans despite the team's relegation from the English Premier League.

Ayew scored in the team's 2-0 win over Southampton, bagging his fifth goal of the season.

"We got the early goal, it helped us settle down in the game," Ayew said. "Obviously, it has not been easy, but I'm proud of the boys...we will keep on fighting till the end to try and finish as high as possible and that's 18th, that's our target."

Ayew's comments reflect the team's determination to end the season on a strong note, despite already being relegated.

The win over Southampton was a welcome relief, and Ayew expressed happiness with the result, which marked Leicester's first win in the league since January 26, 2025.
