Leicester win could be turning point for Arsenal - Walcott

Published on: 15 February 2016

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has claimed that Sunday's last-gasp win over Leicester City could prove to be a turning point in the Gunners' season.

The 26-year-old thinks that the win has boosted the team's morale ahead of the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Hull City next week and fixtures beyond as they strive to win a first Premier League title since 2004.

Walcott, who scored the equalising goal in the 2-1 win, said after the game: "It shows everyone is ready when given opportunities.

"I know we were against 10 men, but still, you tend to find it more difficult against 10 men. Leicester are no mugs, they a good team, a very good team.

"They have obviously dominated the season so far but this could be a complete turning point for us. We have got a big game in the FA Cup (next week) and this is going to boost everyone."
