Leipzig crumble at Ibrox as Rangers reach Europa League final

Rangers recorded another historic win at Thursday night at Ibrox, beating RB Leipzig 3-1 on the night to reach the Europa League final.

The win allowed them to come back from their 1-0 loss in Germany a week earlier, giving them a 3-2 aggregate win.

James Tavernier put the Scots ahead with just over a quarter of an hour played, and Leipzig knew by then that they were in a game as the hosts were roared on by an electric home atmosphere.

They didn't have to wait long to lead on aggregate. Just eight minutes later, Glen Kamara doubled their lead on the night and sent Ibrox into bedlam.

There was a brief threat of extra time in Glasgow after Leipzig levelled over two legs though Christopher Nkunku, but John Lundstram ensured that Rangers would be meeting Eintracht Frankfurt in the final when he restored their lead 10 minutes later.
