Leipzig vs. Augsburg: Team news Augsburg are without top scorer Alfred Finnbogason for their testing trip to Leipzig. vor 2 Stunden

RB Leipzig's top-four credentials are set for a thorough examination when surprise package Augsburg visit the Red Bull Arena on Friday (kick-off: 20:30CET/19:30GMT).

Leipzig moved back up to third in the standings thanks to English youngster Ademola Lookman's debut goal against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 21. The Everton loanee started the game on the bench, but may have done enough to play his way into the starting line-up, ahead of Bruma. Stefan Ilsanker, another substitute in Gladbach, is an alternative to Lukas Klostermann at left-back, but head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl said this week that he won't be taking any unnecessary risks with last season's assist king Emil Forsberg, who is back in team training after eight games out with a pubic bone injury.

No matter who lines up for Leipzig, Augsburg will go into the game high on confidence. Manuel Baum's side continue to defy expectations in his first full season as head coach, with their 3-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt propelling the Bavarians to within two points of the top six - and only four behind Leipzig. Midfielder Rani Khedira, who this week turned down the opportunity to be considered for selection by the Tunisia national team, returns from suspension, but striker Alfred Finnbogason has been ruled out for a number of weeks with a calf injury. Raphael Framberger is set to continue at right-back in the absence of Daniel Opare.

Probable line-ups
