Lens defender Kevin Danso hopes for European qualification after Stade Reims win

Austrian defender of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso can still for an European qualification after helping Lens to defeat Stade Reims 2-1 in the French top-flight at the weekend.

The visitors look on course to play in Europe next season after the victory away from home with two games to end the season. 

Arber Zeneli gave the home side a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute but Florian Sotoca pulled parity after 55 minutes.

Lens scored the decisive and crucial goal at the death, with Seko Fofana netting in injury time.

Ghanaian centre-back Kevin Danso has impressed for Lens this season, making 31 appearances so far for the side.

The 23-year-old has scored a goal and provided two assists.

Lens are still seventh on the league table but just two points behind Strasbourg which is currently in fifth place.

Fifth placed entitles you to participate in the Conference League qualification.
