Liberty Professionals winger Michael Helebge hopes to be in the running for an international return after helping the club to secure a respectable position on the league.

The ex-Ghana Under-23 captain returned to the Dansoman-based side for the second half of the season, scoring six goals in 15 matches

After grabbing a brace in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Wa All Stars at the Dansoman Park, the 25-year-old believes the time is ripe for him to make a return to the national team old.

"I started with most of the players in the team. Its about determination and hard work. I was the captain of the U23 and I also played with them at the U20 so I believe I can play for the Black Stars now." the former Guimgamp player told Accra-based Radio Gold.
