Liberty Professionals Chief Executive Officer Linda Ansong, has called on old players of the club to come to their aid as the top brass of the club plans to increase the sitting capacity at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium.

The Dansoman-based side plans to increase the current capacity from 500 to 3,500 in order to accommodate and give fans more comfortability when they come to the venue to watch games.

According to Linda Ansong, one of the problems identified by the current management and also complains received from stakeholders is the lack of sitting space at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium as fans have to stand on their feet for long periods to watch games.

This she said, prevents a lot of people from attending their games on match days.

“We are working hard to fix the sitting problem at the stadium. It is a big problem for us. We are unable to get most of the supporters in Dansoman to come to watch our games because of this. So it’s a big problem for us”, she said in an interview.

“I plan to construct an additional 3,000 seats this year so we can have at least 3,500-seater capacity at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium.

“It would be nice for some of our old players to venture into this thing which  would immortalize their names”

“It will be nice to come to the Liberty stadium and see that these stands are named after players such as Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Derick Boateng. Your career has limits and you have to find a way to make you name still living after football and that can be done through giving back”, she concluded.
