Liberty coach - Black Stars must emulate us

Liberty Professionals coach JEA Sarpong says his team's excellent performance against Hearts of Oak must be emulated by the Black Stars at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Liberty became the first team to hit two goals past this season’s Premier League best defence at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

And Sarpong insists the performance inspired by self motivation left him proud as the coach of the side.

''I fell proud as a coach for Liberty Professionals because they played a game I think the Black Stars should play in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea,'' Sarpong told MTNFootball.com.

"There is something called self-motivation. After we lost to Might Jets (in midweek) I spoke to the boys and together we resolved to beat mighty Hearts of Oak today."

The win pushed the Dansoman-based club to seventh on the Premier League log ahead of next weekend's away trip to bottom club Wassaman United.
