Liberty Professionals coach George Lamptey believes youngster Eli Agbeko will probably be the biggest talent to emerge from the club.

The 19-year-old is yet to play this season having just recovered from a long-term injury.

Agbeko was nominated as the Most Promising Star at the end of the 2011-12 Ghana Premier League season.

Injury has however taken its toll on the youngster who is now working his way back to full sharpness to make a first team return with the Dansoman-based.

Coach George Lamptey is raving over the future prospects of the left-footer who is already being tracked by foreign agents.

“Eli Agbeko I think will be the next biggest thing in Ghana football,” Lamptey told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“He has everything a player needs. He is like Christian Atsu – very skillful and quick.

“If not for the injury, I am sure he would have been playing in Europe by now.

“The thing however is that he is still young and still developing so we’ll need to be patient with him.”

Lamptey adds: “He is just returning from injury so we are being careful with him.

“I think after the next two games, he will be ready to play again.”
