Liberty Professionals coach J.E Sarpong is full of praise for his team following Sundayââ¬â¢s win on Premier League opening day.
The Dansoman-based club recorded a hard-fought 2-1 home win over the 2010 league champions Aduana Stars after a tough pre-season which included the unfortunate death of their inspirational President Alhaji Sly Tetteh.
But Coach Sarpong believes the ââ¬Ëpremeditatedââ¬â¢ win forms a solid platform for his side to spring to greater heights this season though not getting carried away by the result.
ââ¬ÅIt was a very difficult game for us especially after what happened to us during pre-season but thanks to proper planning, strategy and commitment of my players we were able to pick all three points,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅFootball is full of uncertainties and we know we are going to face stiffer oppositions as the league wears on so we are not over excited by this result.ââ¬
The Scientific Soccer Lad as they are affectionately called, travel to battle reigning league champions Berekum Chelsea in their next league encounter on Sunday.
