Liberty Professionals coach George Lamptey has rued the missed chances in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Dansoman-based side were on the verge of a famous away win over the champions until a late penalty neatly converted by defender Kwaben Edusei ensured the points were split.

The draw has however seen rave reviews passed over the performance of Liberty on hostile grounds.

But coach Lamptey reckons the result could have been even more impressive had his charges made use of the numerous goalscoring chances created.

“The players are coachable, they adhere to instructions,” he said.

“We should have won the game, especially in the first half.

“They are young boys. If they were experienced like Kotoko, I am sure we would have won.

“We wasted several chances and that prevented us from winning the game.”
