Liberty goalkeeper Agyei eyeing swift Black Stars return

Liberty Professionals’ goalkeeper Daniel Agyei is looking for a quick return to the Black Stars.

The 22-year-old has been out of the team for recent assignments due to the his inactivity bourne out of the end of last season’s Premier League.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner is now looking to reclaim his no.2 spot in the Black Stars following the commencement of the new Premier League season.

“Yes, I miss them (The Black Stars) because that is my target,” he said.

“I always want to be in the national team and I want to win some more titles even though I have four medals already for Ghana.”

Agyei was part of the Ghana squad that came second in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and also was part of the quarter finalist team at the World Cup in South Africa.

He has often been the deputy for first choice Adam Kwarasey.
