Liberty Professionals coach George Lamptey has confirmed he will be promoting eight players from the club’s U-20 side into the first team.

The Dansoman-based club lack the financial muscle to sign big names players and have thus adopted a policy of using youthful unknown players.

Liberty have a vibrant youth team and will be relying on eight of such players in the coming season especially after losing key players Kennedy Ashia and Edwin Tuffour.

“We don’t have the money and so we have to make very good use of our U20,” he said.

“I will be promoting about eight of the U20 players into the first team in the coming season.”

The promotion of the players from the U20 side will add up to the five players recruited by the club.

Liberty will be unveiling their new signing by the end of the week.
