Liberty Professionals to relocate from Carl Reindorf Stadium as Ghana FA revokes license

The Ghana FA Club Licensing Board as revoked Liberty Professional’s license to use the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium as their home venue in the ongoing season. 

The Dansoman-based club failed to meet the requirements of the Club License Board after it review on Wednesday 25 February, 2021.

A statement from the Ghana FA read: “ Liberty Professional FC is the first club to have its Match Venue License revoked as the Club Licensing Department began the spot – check inspection on Wednesday February 24,2021”

Ghana Premier League side WAFA is the only team to have been granted  the full license after complying to all directives of the Club Licensing Board.

“After a review on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, the Board has taken a decision to approve WAFA’s application for a FULL License after duly complying with the requirements for all the FIVE thematic areas”

The FA has sanctioned the other clubs who were given a conditional license but were unable to meet the deadline.

Meanwhile, the Club Licensing Department shall complete the spot – check inspection of match venues on Monday March 8,2021 of which further decisions on the STATUS of LICENCES shall be taken.

Venues to be inspected are as follows;

  • - DREAMS FC – THEATRE OF DREAMS, DAWU
  • - TECHIMAN ELEVEN WONDERS – NANA OHENE AMEYAW PARK, TECHIMAN
  • - KING FAISAL FC – NANA OHENE AMEYAW, TECHIMAN
  • - BECHEM UNITED – BECHEM PARK, BECHEM
  • - BEREKUM CHELSEA – GOLDEN CITY PARK, BEREKUM
