Liberty Professionals genius Latif Blessing has sent his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Eastern Region for the support he enjoyed during their league match at Dreams FC in Dawu.

Blessing was born in Nankese and his hometown folks were at the Dawu Park to cheer him on to flourish.

The 18-year-old did not disappoint as he scored on 80 minutes to give his side a precious 2-2 draw.

β€œIt was a nice feeling today [Wednesday] especially playing in front of the people in the Eastern Region and I come from the eastern where I was born, and I enjoyed playing football in the eastern region and also am proud of where I come from, precisely Nankese, where football is our daily food we eat everyday,” Blessing wrote on his Facebook page.

"I love playing in front of my people and it was nice feeling seeing them at Dawu Park today. From Nsawam to Dawu, I love u all and to all my people from Nankese who came to Dawu to support team Liberty Professionals because of me I say thank you all, and on behalf of my team mates, we say God richly bless you all.”

Blessing is now joint top scorer in the Ghana Premier League with nine goals in 11 matches.
