Lions CEO Frimpong-Manso quits to join Medeama

Desmond Frimpong-Manso has quit his post as Heart of Lions Chief Executive and appointed as a director of Medeama SC, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

He will also act as a special assistant to the club president Moses Armah.

Frimpong-Manso has been in charge of the Kpando-based since club owner Victor Ahiakpor took the backstage in football management three seasons ago.

He told GHANAsoccernet.com: "I am no more with Heart of Lions. I have signed documents with Medeama so officially I am now with Medeama SC.

"Lions gave me the exposure and I enjoyed working with them. They were all fantastic people and I owe a lot to them."

Medeama completed the signing of former Accra Hearts of Oak head Yusif Abubakar as assistant coach on Monday
