Heart ofà Lions coach Sarfo Castroà says foreknowledge of the Asante Kotoko team gave his side the edge in the 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Castro joinedà Lionsà from Kotoko this season where he served as an assistant coach.
Kotoko were pegged back late in the game after Nanaà Egyirà converted a contentious penalty kick in added-on time to split points at the Baba Yara Stadium.
This was after Kotoko had taken the lead through another converted spot kick by striker Kofi Nti-Boakye in the 82nd minute.
The result leaves Kotoko still without a win after three rounds of matches.
"I am quite disappointed because I was looking for a win," Castro said.
"But all the same I want to congratulate my boys for fighting to get at least a point from the game.
"I know this team (Kotoko) very well during my days asà assistant coachà who had presided over all their pre-seasons until I left.
"I even understudied their current coach (Mas-Ud Dramani) before I left so I knew how to beat them."
