Lions striker close to Espanyol deal

Heart of Lions' Tanko Mohammed is inching close to securing a permanent deal at Spanish side Espanyol after excelling on trial.

The striker scored four goals in three test matches and earned rave reviews from the technical team of the Catalan-based club.

"I have been very pleased with my own performances here but most importantly, the club's technical team and the fans have all been impresssed with my output," Tanko said.

Mohammed was a member of the local Black Stars squad that secured qualification to next year's CHAN finals in Sudan.
