Match Preview

Great Olympics are set to engage their second city rivals in a space of five days when they welcome Liberty Professionals to the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 15 of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Dade Boys will be looking to rewrite the wrongs in their 4-0 battering against Hearts of Oak in the Mantse derby in midweek, when Liberty Professionals visit them at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.

The game will be another test of character for the Blues as Liberty will be coming into the game as a wounded side following their 3-2 home loss against Inter Allies in their last outing.

Olympics will have to cope without their talismanic midfielder Gladson Awako once again for the must-win encounter as he still recuperating from the arm injury he suffered a fortnight ago.

Coach Annor Walker complained bitterly about the absence of their influential deputy captain during their annihilation against Hearts of Oak.

The veteran trainer will be expecting the likes of Emmanuel Clottey, Matthew Ofori and Ernest Sowah to step up the plate in the game against Liberty.

Both sides have met five times in the top-flight league with Olympics getting the upper hand due to their two wins against Liberty’s one, with one game ending in a draw.

However, Liberty clinched the three points the last both sides met in Accra during the 2017/18 season, winning 1-0 courtesy Michael Ampadu’s first half strike.
