The Giallorossi coach Fabio Liverani spoke in his post-match press conference following Parma-Lecce 2-0.
“The team faced a strong Parma, we had a good game until the goal came, knowing that we had to suffer. With the right movements and the right character, we made Parma run enough. The brief moments make the difference in Serie A TIM, we conceded a goal when we were bringing the ball out, then lost our marking. We paid for our mistakes.”
“We are trying to improve the squad and to integrate it with different players than the ones we have. People with intensity. We have qualities, but we struggle a lot in the two phases. We have the risk of getting tired without playing and then we aren’t careful in the non-possession phase. We lack the aggressivity and don’t know how to chase the opponents in the right way."
“We need a defender who might complete the department with a different character from Lucioni and Rossettini. And we need a physical midfielder with intensity and quantity. A midfielder who can quickly move from one area to another, and finally an attacking midfielder with certain characteristics to allow us to find space and help us break through."
