Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Anderlecht forward Jérémy Doku who could be available in the summer for the "right price" amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The English giants are back reportedly back in the hunt for the Ghanaian they tried to sign back in 2018.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp tried to persuade the wonderkid to sign for the side two years ago following his breathtaking displays in the Belgian top-flight.

Circling reports have linked the youngster with a move to the Reds but remains unclear if the English side are still interested in the 17-year-old.

Belgian-based football agent Cheikh Fall says Doku is one big talent who may be available on the cheap in the next transfer window due to the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis.

“In Belgium, there is really a lot of talent,” Fall said, as quoted by the Express.

“Of course you have talents like Jonathan David and Sambi Lokonga, who even seem like ‘veterans’ because they have been around for two years already.

“You also have talents like Aster Vranckx and Jeremy Doku, who are already established at their clubs. Although they, like all players in football, will also be cheaper due to the current situation in football.”

Liverpool are masters art luring top young players to the club and could make the move for Doku who still fit the bill for them in terms of their overall strategy.

Amid the coronavirus which has hit hit the club's finances, the Reds prefer to snap up young players on the cheap instead of targeting bigger names and more expensive purchases.
