John Barnes has arrived in the country to partake in several charity and developmental projects.

The Liverpool legend was received on arrival by organizers and some of Ghana’s retired footballers.

Barnes, 41, will be a special guest at a fund raising event on July 30 aimed at generating enough money to cater for deprived retired national team players.

He will be joining up with ex Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah to undertake several coaching clinics for kids during his stay in Ghana.

The ex Jamaican coach will also be honoured with a chieftaincy title in the Brong Ahafo Region by Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II, the chief of Dormaa.
