Liverpool are set to strengthen their squad this January as Porto star Luis Diaz looks to be on his way to Anfield.
In the early hours of Friday morning European time, the news broke that the Colombian - currently on international duty in South America - was set to become a new Reds player.
Portuguese publication O Jogo revealed that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs, and the deal is set to reach 60 million euros, with around 15 million in variables on top of an initial 45 million euro sum.
Luis Diaz has been content at Porto but is only willing to leave for a club competing for success in their domestic league and in the Champions League, with Liverpool seen as the ideal destination.
The move could be made official imminently, and the Colombian could be available for selection for Jurgen Klopp after the international break, adding yet more firepower to what was already a lethal frontline.
Tottenham had been interested in the player but now look to have been beaten to his signing by Liverpool, which would only add to their disappointing January transfer window.
