Porto's 1-0 victory against Farense on Monday night will be more remembered for the bust-up between Pepe and teammate Loum N'Diaye on the pitch.
The former Real Madrid defender looked as if he was congratulating his teammate at first, but things soon changed as the two players started to push and shove one another. It may have even been worse if other teammates and the referee hadn't intervened.
The first to publicly offer explanations regarding the tussle was Loum N'Diaye on Instagram.
"I would like to apologise to all FC Porto fans for the unfortunate incident that occurred tonight," N'Diaye posted late on Monday night.
"This should never have happened. Pepe is an older brother and I've learned a lot from him.
"Sometimes the desire to win in a game makes some unfortunate things happen on one side or the other.
"I have always been a model of discipline and devotion at the club and I intend to keep it that way."
