Ghana U20 defender Baba Abdul Rahman believes they were unlucky to lose 1-0 to Spain on Monday in their second Group A match.
The Black Satellites were undone by a Jesse Rodriguez 13th minute goal in Istanbul to leave the former champions at the foot of the table.
Rahman, who played full-throttle, expressed satisfaction with their style of play but rued the missed opportunities.
"It's been difficult for us playing two matches with no point. I didnââ¬â¢t see anything wrong with our performance, but I will say we were just unlucky, but we hope to improve," the Greuther Furth left-back told Joy Sports.
Ghana must now beat USA on Thursday in their final match to see if the points accrued can qualify them as one of the best third-placed sides.
Rahman added: "That game is an all-out game; we have to win and win convincingly. If not, then we will be out of the competition."
