Ghana's Samuel Afum scored a sublime finish to give Young Boys a deserving 1-0 win over bottom-placed FC Servette in the Swiss Super League on Saturday.

The 22-year-old who has emerged as the talisman for the Bern-based side continues to wave his attacking magic in the Swiss top-flight as he registered his third goal in five games for the Yellow and Blacks.

Boys' campaign has been inconsistent but the arrival of new boss Bernard Challandes has brought some sort of revival and it is the former Hearts of Oak man who is at the heart of this business.

Servette have their relegation woes already and Afum thought them some lessons in efficient striking in the 6th minute when he picked a loose ball and finished with a touch of class at the Stade de Genève.

After his early strike, the former Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award winner subjected the hosts defence to constant bombardments with his incredible pace and artistry.

Servette had the goalpost to thank in the 57th minute as Afum's ferocious drive from the edge of the box hit the far post.

Afum's winner keeps Boys in 7th place with 42 points.
