Magnificent Faisal brush aside Aduana Stars
King Faisal beat Aduana Stars on Sunday

Two early first-half goals from Farouk Mohammed and Sadat Wahab helped King Faisal to a nervy 2-0 win over Aduana Stars in a poorly attended game at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.

The two youngsters scored under the 8 minutes to book victory for Faisal in a game that saw just under 50 spectators in the stands in Kumasi.

Faisal were without a win since their Matchday 5 victory against All Stars but took a giants to getting themselves out of the relegation zone with the crucial victory Aduana who are also frustrated by their recent slump.

With coach JE Sarpong resigning from his post, youth team trainer Kwabena Ameyaw was brought but his debut game in charge this season turned out to be a defeat.

Faisal took their early chances in the game and punished their guest for their defensive mishaps scoring two vital goals in the 6th and 8th minutes.

Wahab hit the first in swashbuckling fashion after the Aduana defence failed to do their job and moments later, Farouk scored the second with a simplistic finishing.

Aduana fought back after the break and got close to scoring after dominating the midfield but Faisal were lucky and managed not to concede.
