Majeed Ashimeru won the Austrian Bundesliga with Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday, 28 June 2020 with two games to spare.

The Ghana youth international was a second half substitute in their 3-0 win over Hartberg which helped them open an unassailable 11-point lead over Samuel Tetteh's LASK Linz.

Linz suffered a 1-0 home defeat at Wolfsberger and that gifted Salzburg the Austrian title.

They led at the end of the regular season but were docked six points, later reduced to four on appeal, for breaking coronavirus rules.

Linz's squad was filmed staging full training sessions when clubs were restricted to training in small groups.

Last month, Ashimeru scored to help Salzburg beat his former side Austria Lustenau 4-0 to win the Austrian Cup.
