A majority of clubs in the bottom half of the Premier and Division One Leagues want the season scrapped amid the coronavirus shutdown.

King Faisal, Karela United lead a number of clubs in the Premier League who are keen to see to the cancellation of the 2019/2020 season.

The likes of Legon Cities, Ebusua Dwarfs, Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies, West African Football Academy and Techiman Eleven Wonders are among those believed to be mooting the mounting idea of a cancellation.

In Zone one, Crocodile Stars FC, firmly rooted at the bottom are leading a pack of clubs who want the season annulled.

They include WA Suntaa Sporting Club , Steadfast Football Club Limited, Berekum Arsenal Nsoatreman FC , Unity F.C , Real Tamale United  and Techiman City Football who will vote a dissolution of the season.

Basement club Unistar Academy lead a crusade of clubs in Zone two who are also in support of season cancellation, it has been claimed in the local media.

They join Nzema Kotoko,Wassaman , Venomous Vipers, Swedru All Blacks, Bekwai Youth Academy, Asokwa Deportivo, New Edubiase, Star Madrid, Proud United, Pacific Heroes and Achikens as team seeking for total cancellation.

The status quo is no different from teams in Zone three who want the season cancelled.

Accra Lions, Prampram Uncle T. United FC, Phar Rangers, Accra City Stars, Planners Athletic, Akosombo Krystal Palace, Tudu Might Jets, Nania FC, Danbort FC, Amidaus Professionals and Accra Young Wise.

Though Ghanaian divided over the future of the season, there is a growing numbers of sides that worried about rushing back to the pitch.

There is said to be a fear among some top-flight clubs that worrying about football in such a climate would be seen as crass and insulting.

Though the Ghana FA appears to be committed to finishing the season, reservations are being reported behind the scenes.

The concept of seeing out matches behind closed doors still remain an option but the FA is unsure about it sustainability.

The Executive Council will decide the future of the current season latest by July 31.
