Ghana international Nana Akwesi Asare will see through his contract at Dutch side FC Utrecht after officials confirmed he was not for sale.

Asare, 25, has been widely linked with a move from Holland with big-spending Spanish side Malaga ready to splash out big money for the services of the diminutive left-right back.

But club Chairman Jan Wilhem Van Dop insists the ex-Royal Antwerp and KV Mechelen player won’t be leaving the club.

''We are not going to sell Nana, he is important to us," he said.

The offer from Malaga looks tempting and with new owner and Qatari billionaire Abdulalah Al Ahmed Al Thani having the finances to push through a deal, Utrecht could struggle to keep hold of the player who is valued at 2 million Euros.

Asare played 19 times for the side last term and scored two goals.
