Malmo FF midfielder Kingsley marked his debut for the Black Stars in their 0-0 stalemate against Uganda in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Kampala on Saturday.

Sarfo, 21, enjoyed 51 minutes on his debut for the Black Stars as their hopes of making it to their fourth successive FIFA World Cup was put in jeopardy following the unfortunate draw at the Mandela National Stadium.

Sarfo, who prior to his call up was reported to have landed himself in trouble with authorities in Sweden for driving without license and well as admitting to having an affair with a minor, put away his troubles to emerge as one of Ghana's brightest spots until he was replaced with Patrick Twumasi.

Following his impressive debut, the Kumasi-born attacking midfielder is expected to become a mainstay for the side as coach Kwesi Appiah has hinted on building a new team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
