Man City make contact with Besiktas striker Mario Gomez

Manchester City have made contact with Besiktas striker Mario Gomez.

Sabah says City have contacted Gomez over a potential move to City this summer.

Incoming City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on adding the Besiktas striker to his squad.

The Germany international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months with Manchester United also reportedly interested in him.

However any deal could be complicated by the fact that Gomez is currently on loan at Besiktas from Fiorentina. The Turkish club have the option to make the deal permanent and should that be rejected, it is claimed Besiktas would be entitled to part of the fee if Fiorentina sold him on to another club.
