Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph is grateful to England coach Roy Hodgson for supporting him over his injury problems.
Delph is grateful to Hodgson for picking him despite Villa's troubles last season and his own problems with injury this term.
"He's been unbelievable with me," said Delph. "I was fighting relegation last year with Villa and I was still making the squad. I owe a lot to him.
"It's a big year for me. The opportunity is there for me to go and represent my country in a big tournament. Hopefully I can keep putting in good performances and make sure I go."
