Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is facing eight weeks on the sidelines with injury.

The Sun says Sterling is facing a fight to be fit for Euro 2016 after a scan on his groin injury on Tuesday.

The Manchester City winger, 21, has been told he could miss up to eight weeks.

He suffered the strain in the first half of City's 1-0 defeat to bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

He was withdrawn from the England squad to face Germany on Saturday and Holland on Tuesday.

Sterling is a key part of boss Roy Hodgson's plans for the tournament but has been told not to rush back into action.
