Man City's bright peach & yellow 2020/21 third kit design leaked

Manchester City will be wearing the iconic paisley pattern on some of their away trips for the 2020/21 Premier League season, according to a new kit leak.

Puma took over manufacturing duties of City's kits from Nike last year and impressed fans with their unique and striking designs, with the black Hacienda-inspired kit the Blues wear away from the Etihad a particular favourite amongst supporters.

The bright peach and yellow third kit was a bit more divisive but next season's third kit could prove to be extremely popular if reports prove to be correct.

According to notorious kit-leaking website FootyHeadlines, the kit will use the colour combination of 'Whisper-White' and 'Peacoat,' otherwise known as light beige and navy.

Yet the real highlight of the shirt is the classic floral Paisley pattern which has become synonymous with Manchester and its historic music scene.

The report quotes Puma as saying: "Manchester's music scene has always been an influence on other bands worldwide. The iconic TV program “Top of the Pops” was run by the BBC, from 1964 – 2006, originally recorded in the city itself. The Man City 20-21 third kit takes inspiration from the Paisley floral pattern which was intrinsically associated to the “Brit Pop” music scene of the 1960s and 1990s."

The details appear to coincide with the 'leaked' reports of next season's home and away kits, which are also set to take inspiration from the culture and history of Manchester as Puma continue with their 'crafted from culture' theme.

Leaked images of next year's home kit shows a mosaic pattern taking inspirations from the artwork that can be seen across the city, while details of the away kit suggest the jersey will be influenced by the architecture of Manchester, with a pattern inspired by the buildings from the Castlefield area.
