Swedish-based striker Abdul Majeed wins the Ghanasoccernet.com Man-of-the-Week after he hit a hat-trick and set up a goal for BK Hacken in their 5-1 demolition of Syrianska FC on Saturday in the Swedish top flight.

The 21-year-old who has been in sparkling form in the Allsvenskan found his scoring boot once more and he did that in grand style.

Waris opened the scoring for Peter Gerhardsson's side in the 41st minute and was the arhitect of Martin Ericsson's second in the nick of half-time.

He then buried a penalty which he won in the 64th minute with a powerful drive.

The Syrianska defence thought the raid was over with full-time approaching but Waris fired a powerful low drive past Dwayne Miller to complete his hat-trick.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate's impressive 22 goals in 25 games this season has attracted interest from Chelsea, Feyenoord, FC Porto, PSV and several other stellar clubs from Europe.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah could bank on Waris to supply the goals in Saturday's crucial 2013 AFCON second-leg qualifier against Malawi in Blantyre.

GHANASoccernet.com salutes Majeed Waris for his sensational scoring form over the weekend. He wins the Man-of-the-week Award.

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom also deserves a mention for scoring for the second week running after scoring all two goals for Sassuolo in their 2-1 win over Grosseto.
