Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has given his assessment of Ghanaian-English winger Nathan Omari Forson’s performance following his first start for the senior team in their 2-1 loss to Fulham in the English Premier League.

Forson, aged 19, was handed his first start as Manchester United aimed to extend their unbeaten run to eight games across all competitions.

However, despite the team’s efforts, they were unable to secure a victory, succumbing to a late goal from Fulham’s Alex Iwobi.

During the match, Forson was substituted off in the 53rd minute for Christian Eriksen.

Reflecting on the young winger’s performance, Ten Hag described it as “reasonable,” highlighting his contributions both defensively and in possession.

“I think it was reasonable. He had some good actions. He was reliable in defending and had some good actions in possession. I saw, for his first time, he did well” and added that Omari “deserves to play”.

Forson has two appearances in the Premier League, providing an assist in his first at the start of February against Wolves.
