MAN. UNITED star RASHFORD donating funds to children free-food care

Published on: 30 March 2020

As unveiled by the Manchester United player himself to BBC, English international forward Marcus Rashford (22) is committing over providing free food to all the children not attending school, due to the health emergency ongoing, and in need of such care: "I'm trying to do help the offspring and the youth around, as best as I can. I like kids, I like working with them and for them, and when I heard about schools closing, first thing coming to mind was a lot of kids would have been prevented from free meals. As a kid, I was granted free meals myself. My mom couldn't be home before 6 p.m., and I couldn't have eaten until 8 p.m., otherwise. I was lucky, but there's a lot of critical situations around". Through a crowdfunding, Rashford has already donated a £100k sum.
