Man Utd, Liverpool head queue as Bayer prepare firesale

Premier League clubs are circling as Bayer Leverkusen plan a firesale in the event they fail to clinch European qualification.

BILD says Bayer will sell off their stars if - for the first time in seven years - they do not finish in the European places this season.

Top of the list to go will be former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, who has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Karim Bellarabi, the winger, has Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and United watching him.

Liverpool have also been linked with Bayer goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

And just this week, defender Omer Toprak was linked with a summer move to United, as has midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Bayer chief Rudi Voller, meanwhile, insists: "No matter what happens, we want to keep our best players. We must maintain our core."
