Man Utd midfielder Mata on radar of three Chinese clubs

Juan Mata is a target for a trio of clubs from China according to reports.

The Sunday People is of the belief that three clubs from the Chinese Super League have been in contact with Manchester United regarding the Spanish playmaker.

Mata's future has been thrown into doubt recently as reports linking Jose Mourinho with the Old Trafford hot-seat continue.

The Portuguese, who sold Mata to United from Chelsea for £37million in January 2014, is being heavily backed to replace Louis van Gaal in the summer or if not before.

His possible arrival at United would see the 27-year-old former Valencia attacking midfielder head for the exit door and with that in mind, unnamed Chinese sides are now showing interest.

Mata was linked with Atletico Madrid last month but could now be swayed by the money on offer in the Far East which would see his weekly wages of £170,000 increased.

A source told Sunday People Sport: "Juan was happy to return to Spain but now the Chinese have shown their hands, the money is very difficult to turn down."
