Manchester United are preparing to offer big money flop Alexis Sanchez to Borussia Dortmund in a bid to drive down the asking price for target Jadon Sancho.
United are one of the many clubs pursuing the England international, who is valued at over £100million after a stellar season in the Bundesliga. Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez has yet again failed to impress whilst on loan at Inter Milan after struggling at Old Trafford in earlier seasons.
Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to get rid of the deadwood in his squad this summer, and is now hoping using Sanchez in a deal for Sancho will drop the asking price, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Chilean's wages will be raising some eyebrow's in the Dortmund camp, with Sanchez earning £500,000-a-week at United.
It was revealed earlier this month that Sanchez would be interested in moving back to Chile to end his Old Trafford nightmare. The 31-year-old has scored just once whilst on loan at Antonio Conte's Inter Milan.
United face competitions for Sancho's signature, with a host of rival Premier League clubs vying for the 20-year-old, as well as Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
Sancho has scored 14 goals and managed 17 assists during the league this season, as well as scoring a couple of goals in the Champions League.
The winger was unable to add to his impressive season tally during midweek, as he featured in Dortmund's 1-0 defeat to Bayern that saw them slip seven points behind the league leaders.
