Man Utd will not seek revenge on PSV defender Moreno

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has stated that his players are not out to seek revenge against PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno.

Luke Shaw suffered a horrific leg break during United's Champions League clash against PSV a couple of months ago and it was due to a robust challenge from Moreno which caused the injury to the young left-back.

As a result, Moreno received a lot of flak from the Red Devils supporters and ahead of PSV's trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday night, the Mexican international is set for a hostile reception.

However, van Gaal does not feel that Moreno is to blame for Shaw's injury and has stated that his players are not seeking revenge on the defender.

Speaking to reporters, van Gaal said: "No, my players are not doing that. I am sure of that so I don't think that shall be an issue.

"I have said also already that it was not his (Moreno's) purpose. In football, it can happen. It is a resistance of sport and it is not the first time somebody is injured with a broken leg but it is of course a loss for us."
